DIY Installation?
David Gruttadaurio
Printer-Friendly Format

It makes no sense to invest thousands of dollars in a home theater system only to bring it home and do a poor job of installing it because you didn't want to spring for the extra two hundred dollars for installation.

Also, if you can afford it, have an ISF-certified technician adjust your TV or projector. The cost is about $300. Otherwise, rent the Digital Video Essentials DVD and follow the instructions to adjust your picture.

Improper installation of your home theater will result in much less quality than you paid for, which makes a good quality system a complete waste of money. Pay the price now for professional installation if you have any doubts at all about your ability to properly install your system.
